Successful Grand Fundraising Musical Gala Hosted by Sai Pariwar, Inc.
Sai Pariwar, Inc. recently held its Grand Fundraising Musical Gala on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, New Jersey. The event attracted a vibrant crowd of devotees, community members, and supporters, marking a significant step forward for Sai Pariwar as it aims to establish a new Sai Temple and Cultural Center in North Brunswick. The evening was highlighted by an engaging Bollywood musical concert featuring talented local artists and musicians, accompanied by a live band. The program, lasting over three hours, captivated attendees with a variety of performances ranging from timeless classics and heartfelt bhajans to modern hits.
The gala commenced with a soulful rendition of the Ganesh prayer by Guruji, followed by a beautiful Sai Bhajan. The performances fostered an atmosphere filled with devotion, nostalgia, and joy, as attendees savored delicious food and enjoyed the camaraderie of the community. New Jersey’s first Indian American State Assemblyman and current Commissioner of New Jersey’s public utilities, Mr. Upendra Chivukula, urged generosity from the audience to contribute to this landmark project, emphasizing the importance of building a temple in an area with a substantial Indian American population.
During the event, the principles of Seva (selfless service), Shraddha (faith), and Saburi (patience) were prominently displayed. Community leaders and devotees voiced their strong support for Sai Pariwar’s vision of a modern, accessible temple and cultural center, intended to serve as a spiritual home for generations to come. The proposed temple, to be situated on Route 130 in North Brunswick, will feature sanctums for various deities, expanded facilities, contemporary infrastructure, and ample parking, creating a welcoming environment for worship, cultural activities, and community service.
Additionally, the gala served to further Sai Pariwar’s ongoing $5 million capital campaign aimed at financing the new temple’s construction. Attendees showed their generosity throughout the evening, with many making pledges and exploring sponsorship options for different aspects of the temple. This event highlighted the community’s dedication to establishing a lasting spiritual and cultural landmark in Central Jersey.
Sai Pariwar President Shiv Kolli provided insights into the current status of the temple construction project through a presentation, sharing the 15-year history of their existing temple, which is currently in a leased location and lacks various amenities. Guriji (Surendra Katthula) expressed profound gratitude to everyone who participated and supported Sai Pariwar’s mission. The event was skillfully choreographed by the talented Madhavi Bathula, who co-hosted the evening alongside Music Director Brij Joshi. She conveyed her heartfelt thanks to all devotees, volunteers, artists, and sponsors for contributing to the gala’s success.
Special recognition was given to print and digital media sponsors, including ITV Gold, Parikh Worldwide Media, MANA TV/TV5, Radio Zindagi, The Indian Eye, TV Asia, The Indian Panorama, Hi India, Akila News, The India Observer, Indus TV, JSW TV, Gujarat Darpan, and Vibrnz.com, for their support in promoting this noble cause through media coverage and ticket sales.
In addition to its temple construction initiatives, Sai Pariwar remains committed to serving the community through a variety of programs, including weekly medical camps, wellness and yoga sessions, food drives, arts and cultural workshops, and festival celebrations, all available to the public.
